California

So my husband and I just returned from vacation to sunny southern California.  I grew up there and my two best friends live there.  We stayed with my friend Sarah and her husband Jason and their 15 month old Adrian.  Adrian was adorable!  He is learning to speak and has quite a few words down although they are more partial words than actual words, and he is trying to walk.  Walking actually consists of him holding on to your hands while walking in front of you.

While there we did a variaty of things from Crystal Cove and Dana Point, to the San Diego Zoo, Mission San Juan Capistrano and Disneyland.  Here are a few of my favoriate pictures from the trip that I will probably print and frame.

Vacation

Well the hubby and I will be off to sunny and moderately temperate Orange County to go visit the best friends!  So excited!  Booda will be with cousin Machi!

Machi.

Booda will definitely enjoy himself...he always had a great time with cousin Machi!!

The Beginning

Okay, so while I may not be the best of writers I have decided that I need to start something to share with friends, family and I guess complete strangers as well!  I am going to use this for mostly my Etsy.com store Boo Monkey Designs, where I sell jewelry and jewelry rolls that I have made.  I have also in my time off of working been much more creative that I was while I was working and feel that I need an outlet to share what I have done.

For those who do not know I can sew and have been a sewing machine this year with people having babies and all, plus its a great and inexpensive way for me to make clothes! So with out further ado here are the latest and greatest of the changing pad and burp cloths that I made for my cousin's son who was born last month.

Lovely I know...Yes they are Ohio State colors...They live in Texas!

The changing pad.  It does have vinyl on the back for easy clean up.  I use bamboo batting in the inside and I have found double wide hem tape works best.
Burp cloths.  They are pretty easy to make.  Gerber pre-folded diapers and fabric.  Used the simple edge zig-zag stitch on the ends.  This was before I bought peaking shears...what's a girl to do.
